The Neurotological Clinic of Hippokrateion Hospital provides specialist assessment, management and rehabilitation of complex auditory, otological and vestibular disorders, including among others management of vertigo, ear and temporal bone disease, hearing loss and vestibular migraine. It is fully equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment for the necessary audio-vestibular work-up, including Pure Tone and Speech Audiometry, Otoacoustic emissions, ABRs, Videonystagmography, ASSR, VEMPs and VHIT.

Beside the clinical services provided, the department takes a leading role in research into hearing and balance disorders, while there are links with national and European research projects. REGAIN is an ongoing promising EU funded project of the Clinic. It aims to the regeneration of inner ear hair cells with Gamma-secretase Inhibitors to regain hearing in patients with sensorineural hearing loss.

A medical referral from your ENT physician is needed. Appointments are scheduled by the members of the physicians’ team according to the needs of each patient.

New patients should expect a thorough diagnostic work-up in one clinic appointment. Regular follow-up visits are scheduled according to the needs of each patient. Patients who will require it will have access to surgical treatment, specialized hearing rehabilitation or / and vestibular physiotherapy.
